Winter Weather Message From Olmsted County HSEM



OLMSTED COUNTY: Good afternoon! We are tracking a storm system projected to head into the Plains on Saturday, bringing a swath of moisture into southern Minnesota. Expect snow to spread into Olmsted County by 12-1pm on Saturday, with ambient temperatures in the lower to middle 30s. Temperatures will drop off below freezing as the snow picks up by late Saturday afternoon. Snow will be moderate to heavy at times from 5pm through 11pm on Saturday. Expect snow accumulations of 5-7" across Olmsted County and could be locally higher in convective snow bursts. Snow will be of "normal" consistency through the event. Look for all activity to exit by 5am on Sunday. Thanks for the question and stay safe
